Hello! Goldfinch Blooms is a grower and retail florist. It is all run by me, Hayley Egeland,: owner/grower/marketer/bouquet maker. I grow everything locally, right here in Des Moines, Iowa. I do things on a very small scale for now, with hopes for expanding in the future. I sell bouquet subscriptions here on my website, and I also sell bouquets through other avenues like farmers markets, driveway sales and fundraisers, as well as partnering with local businesses. Springtime, I also sell annual flowering and vegetable plants, and will be adding more perennial plants in the future. I have been a horticulturist for over 19 years and have worked in a wide range of industry areas, like public and private gardens, greenhouses, nurseries and tree farms. Having a lifestyle change (kids) had led me away from working in hort for 7 years, but in 2024 I got the itch and nerve to start my own business, going back to my passion -digging in the dirt!

My goal is to hand you a bouquet that you are blown away by, including things a typical home gardener might not have the time and patience or skill to grow. I am always trialing new plants and varieties, hoping to improve every season.
